National Cupcake Day...Gluten-Free

I love cupcakes...I love them so much mainly because they make me feel happy and remind me of so NessCupcake many good times being a kid! I love cupcakes that have a super moist cake and are topped with a mound of frosting that is sweet...but not too sweet! It has to be just that perfect amount of sweetness that makes you want more and more and more!

Since I love cupcakes so much, I had to find a way to incorporate cupcakes into my job at the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness. So, the NFCA teamed up with Pamela's Products to host Gluten-Free Cupcake Parties to raise awareness of celiac disease and the gluten-free diet.  Over the last year, nearly 100 fabulous volunteers have hosted cupcake parties and helped the NFCA raise thousands of dollars to put towards educational programs for doctors and pharmacists.

Now it's your turn!

October 18th is National Cupcake Day!! Join in the fun by hosting your very own Gluten-Free Cupcake Party! Not only will you be joining in for a national day of celebration and eating delicious gluten-free cupcakes, but you'll be helping raise awareness of celiac disease and the gluten-free diet.

  So, here's how it works:

Step 1: Visit the NFCA website and fill out the form to register to become a Gluten-Free Cupcake Party host.

Step 2: NFCA will contact you to arrange the details of your party and answer all of your questions.

Step 3: Invite 12 of your closest friends over to decorate cupcakes! Each guest will donate $15 to celiac awareness.

Step 4: Once you've set a date for your party, Pamela's Products will send you a full Cupcake Party Cup_cakes5 Baking Kit that contains Classic Vanilla Cake Mix, Luscious Chocolate Cake Mix, and three frosting mixes. Each of your guests will also receive a special take home gift such as a  spatula, whisk or frosting spreader. You will also receive an apron from Ohm Dog as a thank you for hosting a Cupcake Party!

Step 5: Host the party! Be sure to take lots of pictures!  Following the party, NFCA will ask each host to submit photos and an event recap for publication in NFCA's newsletter and on its Celiac Rockstars Blog.

So...if you love cupcakes and want to do your part to help raise awareness of celiac disease and the gluten-free diet, sign up now to host a Gluten-Free Cupcake Party! I promise you'll have tons of fun and get to eat delicious gluten-free cupcakes!
